Welcome to the Achill Island Pottery website.
The Achill Pottery was established in 1960 by
Joe and Mary Colohan and has produced and
sold pottery on Achill Island, Co Mayo Ireland
since then. The pottery is only available on the
premises and is not sold anywhere else. Joseph
Colohan died in 1988 and Mary continued the
pottery until 2006. Sadly she passed away in
October 2007. Her son Fergil continues the
tradition at present.
The pottery was open in June July and August
2009. We would like to thank all our customers
and well-wishers who encouraged us to make
this happen.
